MEMORY SERVES SERIES

This series represents moments in time. Objects you see everyday that represent many meanings. Feelings you experience when you see them, smell them, interact with them, hear them or taste them. This series is the merger of my graphic design art career and watercolor art work connection. From the repetitive nature of writing a phrase over and over a lesson of scolding from a grammar school teacher and the multi-meaning of an object later realized decades later. The nostalgia of the objects and the phrases derived from fonts that emote the feeling behind the phrases shown are meant to capture and then hold the view. The stereotype of an object felt in another lens. The use of watercolor painting is meant to feel differently about objects that could otherwise be digitally perfected. Time passes quickly and memory serves to hold a moment in time and continue to think about how time affects the objects.
