Some journeys change us because of where they lead. Others change us because of what we begin to notice along the way.

The Aspen Heart Rock Project was born from countless bike rides and hikes through the mountains surrounding Aspen, Colorado. Along the trails, I began discovering heart-shaped rocks. I think of them as "God winks" (small moments of unexpected grace that invite us to pause, pay attention, and reconnect with something greater than ourselves). Every heart-shaped rock represents a unique moment of discovery. Together, they tell a story of wonder, gratitude, and our relationship with nature.

8×8 Series
Painted on luxurious 300 lb. Fabriano cold press paper, every 8" × 8" painting preserves the individuality of its natural inspiration (the texture, shape, imperfections, and personality that make every discovery one of a kind). Framed in white 9.25" × 9.25", each original work is painted with the rock as its muse.

The GRID Series

Each grid arranges 16, 24, 36—or a custom collection—into a carefully balanced composition. Mounted on linen canvas and presented in a modern 20" × 20" × 2" acrylic frame (unless customized, otherwise), the work invites viewers to experience both the individuality of every heart and the powerful story they create together.
